Hi

Has anyone ever come across a "GPS for Dummies" kind of book or manual.

I have a bucketload of trouble trying to remember the sequences for doing
almost anything with my 76CSx. Every time I pick it up again after a couple
of weeks, I have to break out the not-so-good Garmin manual and begin the
instruction process again.

Of course, it could be age that's doing that, but an easy to read book would
be cool.

How about this one?

GPS for Dummies by Joel McNamara (Paperback - 10 Oct 2008)

Available on Amazon.

Sounds perfect. Now, why didn't it come up when I searched Amazon? I'll go
check again. Thanks

When I search in "Books" and type GPS in the search text field, "GPS for
dummies" is the third suggestion that automatically pops up.

A generic "GPS for Dummies" book won't be much help in showing you how
to operate your 76CSx.

Better would be for you to sit down with a notebook, walk through the
functions that you need to use and write them down.

To go all the way with this, using a word processor and your printer,
format these instructions and print them in tiny type to fit on a
pocket- or wallet-sized piece of paper, and laminate it. Then, you'll
have a cheat sheet you can carry with you.
