My 60cs basemap is out of sync with the roads, for example when driving down
the motorway (M62) the Triangle icon is about 1 - 1.5cm to the right of the
road and also I am 3 - 400m past a junction/exit before the map tells me I
am approaching it...

How can I calibrate the map?

Any help much appreciated.

No way. Load CitySelect or at least MetroGuide maps to improve
accuracy.

There is a setting which tells the unit to "hold to the road" (not the
exact words). Make sure that setting is ON. That should keep your
position arrow on the roadway.

What is happening to you is not unusual.

Another trick is not to zoome so much that the GPS reports "Overzoom" in
down right hand corner

I, personally, do not recommend this setting at all. It forces your position
to be displayed on the next street, be it correct or not.
