I know I can save tracks, then export them to my PC, however is there
any method of doing the same with Trip Computer data and Altimeter data
please?

I'm using a 76Cx and am not familiar with the CSx models.

At least some of the trip computer data can be gotten from the track
properties menu when tracks are downloaded to MapSource. That would be
data that is calculated from the time, location, and elevation data that
is saved to the microSD cards as *.gpx files.

There are a lot of different choices for what is display on the Trip
Computer, I'm not sure that all of them can be calculated from the items
in the *.gpx files but some of them can.

Do you have any idea or control over which data is used for the
elevation display on a CSx? If so, then maybe the altimeter data would
be stored in the *.gpx file if it was set as the default or something
like that.

S = Magnetic compas + barometic altimeter. Otherwise it's the same,
including the same firmware.

At first, you should *not* save the track within your 60CSX before
transferring it to the PC. "Saved" tracks have a reduced resolution, and all
time information is missing. So it is far better to transfer just the active
log.

Trip computer data cannot ba transferred as far as I know, but most trip
computer data will be reconstructed from the track. Please see
www.gartrip.de/tra.htm to see what the program Gartrip makes with the track
data, for example.

The altimeter profile is also reconstructed from the track. When your 60CSX
draws it, it also uses the active track log. www.gartrip.de/diag.htm shows
you how Gartrip displays speed and altitude. (Please wait some seconds for
the display to change.)

Heinrich is making the most important point here, I missed that.

If you want meaningful track data, go to the Track page and track setup
menu and check the log track to data card box. From that point on,
every single track point collected will be in a *.gpx file on the
microSD card as long as there is some free space on the card. That file
will have the date/time, location, and elevation for every track point
in it.

The *.gpx files can be copied off of the card, or from the GPS in the
Mass Storage Mode, and they will be inluded when you do track downloads
from MapSource.

The *.gpx files cannot be seen, read, or used from the GPS receiver but
you can open the files in MapSource and send tracks back to the GPS if
you want to get one into the Saved Tracks inventory later.

The log tracks to card features is the only way to save all the track
data and save it with the date/time and elevation.
