Where does the 60 CSx (or similar) store settings? Internal memory
or the memory card? I haven't seen any specs on how much internal
memory the device has (if any).

If I buy a bigger memory card, to have room for all of Europe, will
I have to change all the settings again, or are they stored in the
device itself?

Everything is saved in the main memory in the GPS. You can change cards
with losing any settings.

The *.gpx files that track memory can be logged to are the only thing
that the GPS saves to the microSD card. The Saved Tracks are in main
memory too, not on the microSD card. To have the *.gpx files saved to
the microSD card, you have to have turn that feature on. It is off by
default.

The 60/70 Cx/CSx have enough settings that I took the trouble to go
through all the menus and note my settings in a *.txt file just in case
they ever accidentally get cleared or reset to defaults. It was
somewhat of a learning curve to get my 76Cx setting where I wanted them.
a few of those get changed again from day-to-day but many do not.

Great.

I knew that. Strange that I didn't connect the saving tracks to internal
memory to the question about the unit having any internal memory.

I still chage settings almost as often as I use the unit - and not
the same settings.
