poop!
Yesterday while unhooking my wife's new 2460 from the mount I fumbled
it. Dropped from console height to the floor.
This morning I noticed that the glass is broken!
Garmin's support is only open during business hours so I won't be able
to talk to them until Monday. Anyone know if this is warranty
territory? I don't *know* that the little fall broke the glass--
but it is the only jarring I know of--- and it doesn't seem like it
should be enough to break glass.
Everything seems to work except the calculator-looking screen where
you enter the car's fuel economy for ecoRoute.
Is this just some thin glass covering the touch screen? If so, I'd be
tempted to just swap it out myself rather than mail it back to Garmin.
Anyone know? [and know where I'd get the glass?]
Thanks,
Jim

You might check online for GPS repair places. The first place I go to
is ebay, and indeed someone there has a classified ad listing.

Clumsiness is not covered under manufacturer's defect. Glass is a funny
material in that sometimes it take a lot to break it, other times a little
jar will do it.
