2011.10 map update released

From reading on some other forums,
it appears that folks have received a map update
called 2011.10 - released on 4/12/10
But it doesn't list out on the Garmin website.

Why would Garmin name and release a map update
calling it "2011" when we've just started 2010 ???
Seems really odd to call it 2011 vs 2010.50 ??

What will be released in the late fall - 2012 ??

Can't fathom why, but they did. To change back now, would be rather

Just remain (semi) confident in the fact that if your mapset file name
is a year ahead of the current year, you're probably close to current.

If you go to your newsagent this week you'll probably see magazines
for June 2010 - it's the crazy world of the marketing folk.
